Eco-Vision

We want to help preserve the spot of creation we are entrusted with, which includes reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills in someone else’s backyard. To that end we encourage the following ideas. Use this as the basis, not the end, of your earth-care practices.

NO Disposables
We ask that no one bring disposable plates, cups or utensils. Pack your own place settings and utensils, and be responsible to wash it (if you’re into that).

Recycling
There will be bins for recycling throughout the area, next to trash bins. Please read what is recyclable and not accidentally throw trash in a recycling bin.

Compost
We will have a large compost pile to naturally and personally deal with our food waste

What is compostable?:
Food prep waste- vegetable and fruit peels and cores
Coffee grounds, filters and teabags
Egg shells

What is NOT compostable?:
Any meat or diary scraps
Anything cooked with meat or animal fats
Citric fruits (oranges, lemons, etc... These can sometimes
be composted, but their acid can easilly throw off the
compost's balance, and we will not be using them.)

Let’s hold each other accountable to these practices to sustain creation.
